Ecological production

Organic production is a farming system based on the optimal use of natural resources without the use of synthetic chemicals or genetically modified organisms. In this way, it is possible to obtain an organic food that at the same time maintains the fertility of the earth and respects the environment, in a sustainable, balanced way and achieving a much healthier end product with a much higher nutritional quality. With this cultivation system, an increase in the health of the ecosystems is also achieved, favoring biological diversity and soil regeneration activity.

Walnut growing process

During the first two years of life, a child begins his physical and intellectual development. Trees are not so different from people, the first two months define the size, taste, quality and growth of the fruit. Caring for them to achive unsurpassed quality is our daily task.

March

The walnut is a monoecious species, with unisexual flowers, that is, with differentiated male and female flowers. During the month of March the sap begins to move and at the end of the same month the flowers begin to emerge. First the male flower, then the female flower accompanied by the leaves.

April

April

In the middle of April, the walnut tree is fully dressed with its leaves and the female flowers are already fertilized. It is then when the process of growth of the vegetation, branching and growth of the fruit begins.

April-June

The growth of the fruit is from the beginning of April to the end of June. During the next thirty days it takes a break and it is not until August when it restarts its vegetative development.

September

The notable change in temperature at the beginning of September and the decrease in the presence of the sun, makes the fruit ripen.

October

At the beginning of October you can see how the walnut already takes its head out of the green shell and begins to fall, a process that lasts about fifteen days from the first to the last walnut.

November

The fruit has already been picked and the tree has already started to remove the leaves, a process that takes place over the next two weeks. Then the process begins again to bear new fruit in the next fall.
